Meet your HEAT Organizer
Your HEAT Organizer coordinates the work of the HEAT SYSTEM in your hotel, club, or casino. It's the HEAT Organizer's job to recruit and train HEAT CAPTAINS, teach you about the threats facing our union, and turn out member volunteers to hundreds of events each year.
Before joining staff, many HEAT Organizers were hotel and casino workers themselves. They were active volunteers and effective delegates, who gave up their union jobs to work long hours because they believe in the mission of the union and want to be a part of changing the lives of hospitality workers for generations to come.

Jeff Cameron
HEAT SupervisorJeff started working with HTC in the summer of 2024 as an Intern while studying at Cornell University’s School of Industrial and Labor Relations in Ithaca, New York. In 2025, Jeff graduated with a bachelor’s degree from Cornell and started full-time as a HEAT Organizer, bringing both knowledge from the classroom and a strong passion for supporting the working class. As the son of a UA local 189 tradesman, the grandson of a UA Business Agent & Organizer, and nephew & grandson to three 189 Presidents, Jeff grew up knowing well that the union put the food on his table. Jeff takes pride in supporting those like his parents, uncles, and grandparents by informing and organizing working people to better their own lives by collective action.
