Senior HEAT Supervisor

In 2011, Tyrone was working as a steward at Resorts World in Queens when our union came in to organize the casino. Tyrone was quick to support the union, and he encouraged the coworkers in his department– and eventually the entire food court – to sign union cards. Tyrone emerged as a natural leader in that organizing drive and the contract fight that followed. In 2013, Tyrone came onboard at the union to work the overnight shi at the Capri Whitestone, where our union was running a 24-hour picket line. Shortly after, Tyrone joined HTC’s organizing department full-time. In a full circle moment, Tyrone worked on the organizing drives at the upstate casinos. Now, Tyrone works with our gaming members and our members in upstate New York.
