Senior HEAT OrganizerLilian joined our union in 1999 as a Room Attendant at the Roosevelt Hotel. At first, Lilian didn’t know much about the union – other than the fact that she had great health insurance. But as she started to learn more about our contract, she realized it was like having “gold in her hands,” and she became a delegate to help enforce it. In 2021, Lilian joined HTC staff to help administer our union’s relief programs during the pandemic, and she has been a part of our team ever since. Lilian is now a Senior HEAT Organizer dedicated to representing members covered by the GRIWA contract in New Jersey. Lilian is deeply committed to advocating for our members, teaching workers about their contracts, and strengthening the union, from the ground up.
