Increased relief for Bell, Door, and other tipped front service staff
Industry Wide Agreement Contract Summary | July 1, 2026 – June 30, 2034

In the last contract, our union negotiated several years of catch up increases for Bell and Door staff in the face of growing issues with roller bags and ride-sharing apps. Since then, the challenges facing Bell and Door staff have increased with the growing popularity of cashless travelers. In the new agreement, our union extended and increased the catch up increases significantly from a few dollars for several years in the last contract to $1.50 each January 1st for the life of the new contract. As has been negotiated in previous agreements, the benefit day rate will not include the January increases.
The new contract also requires the creation of a study committee to explore digital tipping for front service and housekeeping staff.
