Wayne Clarke

Our union mourns the passing of Wayne Clarke, a tournant at the Plaza Athenee Nobu Hotel and Spa New York. Wayne is survived by his four daughters (Shavana, Shainna, Tayler, and Wynter) and his wife Lecia, whom he loved fiercely and cherished above all else.

Wayne had a sharp mind paired with an entrepreneurial spirit. Ambitious, focused, and for-ward-thinking, he approached every endeavor with purpose and drive.

Wayne was a natural jokester who could bring laughter into any room. He found joy in music, fishing, and one of his greatest passions: cooking. Wayne was known to spend hours in the kitchen perfecting dishes and trying out new flavors. A true culinary artist, his joy in cooking was as much about feeding others as it was about sharing moments and memories around the table.

Above all, Wayne was a devoted father. Every decision, every sacrifice, every moment of his life was grounded in this love. As his daughter Shavana said so beautifully, "He cherished his daughters and poured all of his time into them to make sure they could live good lives."
