On August 24, the workers at the Evelyn Hotel, on 27th Street between 5th Avenue and Madison Avenue, voted by a uniquely sizable majority to obtain the right to negotiate, and be represented by the Hotel Trades Council.

Despite a nasty anti-union campaign by management, the workers of the Ludlow Hotel, on Ludlow and East Houston Streets in Lower Manhattan, have voted by a rather unambiguous majority in favor of HTC and have now won the priceless right to negotiate. The vote was conducted by the National Labor Relations Board on August 20, 2015.

On July 16th workers at the world famous Rainbow Room restaurant cast their vote for the union, with 94% voting to be represented by the Hotel Trades Council. Workers have taken an important step to winning the job security, guaranteed good benefits, workplace rights, and secured wage increases which come with an HTC union contract.
Knickerbocker Hotel Workers Vote To Unionize

On the 15th of July the Hotel Trades Council was certified by the Office of the Impartial Chairperson as the bargaining representative for the workers at the Knickerbocker Hotel, following an overwhelming 86% of workers at the hotel voting for the Union.

Springhill Suites Newark Airport Ratifies First Contract

On May 5, 2015, workers at the Springhill Suites Newark Liberty International Airport Hotel unanimously ratified their first union contract. This is a major victory for our the workers at this hotel, who will see an immediate improvement in their working conditions. The contract took effect immediately, and will remain in effect until March 31st, 2018.

On July 28, the employees of the Strand Hotel voted 45-4 to authorize the Hotel Trades Council to be their collective bargaining representative. The election was conducted by the National Labor Relations Board (“NLRB”).

On July 9, 2015, the Hotel Trades Council was certified by the Office of the Impartial Chairperson as the bargaining representative of workers at the Dream Downtown. 77% of workers voted in favor of the union by signing union cards.
