Cuomo Announces $1 Billion, 1.2 Million Square Foot Expansion Of Javits Center

On January 7th, Governor Cuomo unveiled a $1 billion dollar expansion of the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center. The expansion, which will transform it into “the convention center for the next generation,” will be lead by the addition of 1.2 million square feet and the largest ballroom in the northeast. This investment will lead increased hotel demand and “over 200,000 hotel nights” announced HTC President Peter Ward, further ensuring the security of our members’ jobs. Read more here.
