Romario, a Steward at the Tempo by Hilton, caught the attention of our union for his dedication to advocating for his coworkers and his drive to learn the contract. A second-generation union member, Romario’s father instilled in him the importance of having the protection of a strong union. For the past few months, Romario has been helping our union prepare for the 2026 contract fight as a Rank-and-File Organizer. In HEAT, Romario is gaining a deeper understanding of the inner workings of the union, from mobilizing members to attend union events to contract enforcement. Ahead of the 2026 contract fight, Romario is committed to getting members informed and involved, so we can win the strongest contract possible.
