Rampersaud Ramruch

Our union mourns the passing of Security Officer Rampersaud Ramruch in September of this year.

Rampersaud was funny, gentle, and loved his friends and family dearly. Off the job, Rampersaud was an avid reader. His wife Hemwattie recalls that everyday after work, Rampersaud could be found in his recliner reading and writing. He had an interest in religion and read the entire Qaran, Bhagavad Gita, and Bible.

Rampersaud had a close relationship with his family. He and Hemwattie met in 1985, when Rampersaud was visiting his brother (who lived in the back of Hemwattie’s house in Guayana). They fell in love and Hemwattie moved to America to be with Rampersaud. They ended up working together at Resorts World NYC. Rampersaud is survived by Hemwattie and their three sons.
