The Union has been working hard to negotiate agreements, pass legislation that protects our members, and compile resources and information that will be helpful to our members during this crisis. One of our greatest strengths is our informed membership. Many of you have new questions and worries brought on by the coronavirus, whether it be regarding unemployment, sick leave, workplace safety, contract protections, or recall rights. Our website is the main place to come for these resources, Union news, and the updates that are so important to us all. Make sure to check the website frequently.

In 2013, we rolled out the Union Broadcasting Network (UBN) so that we could send texts to our growing HTC membership. We’ve used UBNs to mobilize members quickly, to share information about elections, and to tell you about breaking news — all in 160 short characters. We encourage HTC-represented workers to sign up for text alerts to get important information from your Union sent right to your phone. We have been, and will continue, updating you about your healthcare options as the extension comes to an end, major news including agreements reached with your hotel, COVID-19 safety updates, opportunities to volunteer, and elections.
