New Union leaders
On November 1st, Samantha Klein and Randy Sullivan were appointed to Union leadership positions on HTC’s Executive Board.
Samantha Klein: General Organizer of the Hotel and Gaming Trades Council and the Union’s Director of Operations and Communications
Since joining our Union in 2011, Samantha Klein has been the lead organizer of over 40 organizing drives and has helped thousands of workers join our Union, including notable wins at del Lago Resort & Casino, the Baccarat Hotel, and the Marriott Downtown. She took over the Union’s digital communications, website, and Hotel Voice during the COVID-19 pandemic and today leads the Union’s operations, oversees the development of new member services & training programs, and jointly supervises our external organizing team. She was appointed as the General Organizer in 2023.
Randy Sullivan: Vice President of the Hotel and Gaming Trades Council and President of Hotel Maintenance Painters Union Local 1422
Randy Sullivan is an experienced and beloved Business Agent. In 2000, Randy began working as a Room Service Server at the Morgans Hotel, where he was appointed as a Union delegate for his department. Randy was hired by the Council in 2006 to help build the HEAT System ahead of industry-wide negotiations. Soon after, he became a Business Agent for Local 6. He became a Vice President of HTC and President of Local 1422 in 2023.
