NYS offers free antibody testing for food delivery and restaurant workers

The New York State Department of Health has extended free COVID-19 antibody testing for food delivery and restaurant workers through Saturday, June 6.

If you work in New York State and in food and beverage, and would like to be tested, the following testing sites are open from 10:00am-5:30pm daily until Saturday, June 6 (with the exception of John Jay College, Lehman College, and New York Institute of Technology testing sites, which will close at 5 PM). New hotel for West 37th Street parking lot site

According to an article in the Wall Street Journal, a 300-room hotel will be going up on West 37th Street in midtown Manhattan. The site to be developed, a parking lot, is between 8th and 9th Avenues. The article described the current New York City hotel market as being "particularly alluring for developers" since tourism, business travel, and hotel room rates have all been on the rise.

NYC Residents: Meet with MetroPlus about your healthcare options

Our Union has arranged for agents from MetroPlus (a city-operated, not-for-profit healthcare plan) to meet with union workers who are losing their healthcare in the coming months to discuss their healthcare options.

On December 17th, New York State extended the deadline to apply for a state healthcare program or qualified healthcare plan until December 31st for coverage beginning on January 1st. We strongly encourage members to take the opportunity to meet with a MetroPlus agent to get a complete overview of your options. Read more...

Kids Days 2017 will take place at the Health Centers and the Midtown Dental Center on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, August 23, 24 and 25. As always, no appointments will be necessary for families to take advantage of the great benefits of this health awareness event.
