Velma Petty, New York Hilton
The Union is saddened to announce the passing of our sister Velma Petty, a room attendant at the New York Hilton for 22 years.
A vivacious and bubbly woman, Velma was known for living life to the fullest. She loved going out to restaurants and exploring what New York City had to offer. No matter where she went she was the life of the party.

Union's Annual Writing Competition Is Here! Offering Cash Prizes to High School Students
For 18 years now, the Union's annual writing contest has offered high school students the opportunity to show their creative talents and have a chance to win cash prizes at the same time. In the competition's history, over 1,000 students have submitted entries and almost $200,000 in prizes have been awarded to the children of our members. This year is no exception, with the competition offering cash awards in two categories: Essay and Fiction/Non-Fiction Narrative. Read more....

What to Expect as New York City’s Private Clubs Reopen
New York’s clubs, hotels, and casinos have started to reopen their doors. All but two clubs have reopened. The Princeton Club, which is one of the clubs currently closed, will reopen on July 7th.
