Dominick Pugliese, Marriott Brooklyn Bridge
The Union is deeply saddened to announce the passing of our brother Dominick Pugliese, a housekeeping aide at the Marriott Brooklyn Bridge since 2001.
Known by all as an enthusiastic worker who cared deeply about the people around him, Dominick was adored by his co-workers, family and friends. He was also passionate about sports, especially the Yankees, Giants and Knicks. A devoted father to his three children, Dominick was immensely proud of his daughter Ashley in college.

Husseini Adargo, Mandarin Oriental
Our brother Husseini Adargo, a steward at the Mandarin Oriental and proud Union member for 22 years, has passed away.
A devoted husband, father and grandfather, Husseini was the prefect definition of a family man. Ana, his wife of 25 years, remembers her husband as a loving and caring man. “He was the same man at work as he was at home,” she said. “We’re a very close-knit family and he loved to take time off to go to his grandchildren’s events. He so enjoyed attending everything they were involved in. He was very much a homebody and he loved to be with his family to celebrate holidays.”

Miguel Jaquez, Millennium Hilton
Our brother Miguel Jaquez, a steward at the Millennium Hilton for 22 years and Union delegate, has passed away.
Miguel’s sister Maria, also a Union delegate at the New York Hilton, remembered her brother as a strong family man and a hard worker. “He adored his three children, and his favorite thing to do was to cook for his family and spend time with all of us. I especially loved the picnics we would have at my house. Miguel and I would also attend Union rallies together. I miss him so much now that he is gone.”
