This is a reminder to members that this Year’s Kids Days will take place next week, on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, August 17, 18 and 19, and at the Midtown, Harlem, Brooklyn and Queens Health Centers; and also — for dental visits only — at the Midtown Dental Center. The hours for the event each day are 9:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m.
Courtyard Newark Downtown Wins Union Contract!
The Union has won a contract for the Hotel Trades Council (HTC) members employed at the Courtyard Newark Downtown Hotel. The hotel joined the rapidly growing list of shops in New Jersey that are bound to the Greater Regional Industry Wide Agreement, or GRIWA.

Our 2016 Writing Contest Awards
This year marks the 14th anniversary of the Union’s annual writing contest for high school students and the competition grows more popular each year. For the 2016 edition of the contest, almost 300 entries were submitted.
Our Union’s Families Loved Kids Days 2016!
There were thousands of medical and dental visits recorded at the Union’s Health and Dental Centers for Kids Days 2016, in another display of the mounting popularity of this annual event.
Men’s Health Week Is September 26-30
Men’s Health Week will take place at the Health and Dental Centers from Monday, September 26 through Friday, September 30. All eligible members and their enrolled family are welcome.
