Union Wins Back Pay at the Redbury
There are five bell persons at the Redbury Hotel who this week are celebrating back pay the Union obtained on their behalf. The five HTC members are receiving a total of $40,600 because the hotel was providing an incorrect rate of pay. After learning about the failure of the hotel to pay the contractual rate of pay, the Union demanded an immediate audit of the payroll records. Following that the Union's grievance and arbitration process allowed for a fast resolution to the matter. Two of the Redbury employees, HTC members Stephen Bogucki and Byron Salazar, are seen here receiving their checks for back pay from HTC Grievance Manager Joseph Messineo and Local 6 Business Agent Randy Sullivan.
