Union Once Again Wins Back Pay for Members
Thirteen (13) members of our union, including those seen in this photo, received checks for back pay after the union conducted an investigation regarding unpaid wages. The back pay was for the Intercontinental Times Square’s failure to pay the correct wages and fees contained in the contract. The union demanded and received not only the back pay the workers were due from the contract violation but also agreement from management that the employees will receive the correct wages and fees going forward. Distributing the checks for back pay to the union members in this photo are Local 6 Business Agent Randy Sullivan (far left) and Hotel Trades Council Grievance Manager Joseph Messineo (fourth from the right).
