Men’s Health Week will take place at the Health and Dental Centers from Monday, September 26 through Friday, September 30. All eligible members and their enrolled family are welcome.
Jose Rosado, Shop Chairman at the Union Club and Local 6 Assembly Delegate
We are deeply saddened by the loss of Jose Rosado, a retired shop chairman at the Union Club and a Local 6 Assembly Delegate. Jose passed away on April 17, at the age of 71. He worked at the Union Club for over two decades as a cook, and was first a union delegate, before being appointed to shop chairman. He will be remembered by all who knew him as a loving husband and father, a fearless leader, and a friendly, kind, and funny person.

How Hotel Workers Got Eligibility and Access to the COVID-19 Vaccine
In early March, our Union secured two major developments related to the COVID-19 vaccine. First, hotel workers became eligible to receive the vaccine in New York and in New Jersey. Second, our Union was able to begin efficiently distributing the vaccine to our New York City members through our own health centers. Read more...
Hotel Trades Council Division A Scholarship Awards Announced
Yifan Pu is about to attend New York University to study Chemical & Bio-Molecular Engineering, and he will be getting lots of help on this career path from a Hotel Trades Council Division A scholarship. The Division A scholarships were awarded to Yifan Pu and others this week at a ceremony attended by students, their family members and union officers.
Thousands Attended Men’s Health Week
Good health is on the minds of many HTC members, if attendance at this year’s Men’s Health Week is any indication. The event was held at the Health and Dental Centers from Tuesday, September 10 until Friday, September 13, and thousands of members participated.
Ernie Peters, HTC Regional Director and Local 6 Vice President
The union was deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Ernie Peters, a longtime HTC Regional Director and a Local 6 Business Agent and Vice President. Peters passed away on May 26. He was 85 years old and had been a member of our union for 68 years.
Throughout his long tenure at our union Peters was a strong representative of our members and a fierce enforcer of the contract. He was well respected by members and management alike.
