Help Is Available to Pay for College

That’s because the Affordable Care Act (ACA) requires all Americans to have health insurance that meets certain standards and the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) needs to know whose coverage meets those standards.

Women who visited one of the Health Centers during this year’s Women’s Health Week did not need an appointment to be able to receive testing and an exam that allows doctors to detect early signs of different types of cancer.

The event is open to all women members, age 20 or older, and it will take place at all of these facilities from Monday, November 2 up to and including Friday, November 6, between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.
Division A Members Ratify Contract Extension

A large number of Hotel Trades Council Division A members voted overwhelmingly on October 15 to approve a contract extension similar to the extension of the IWA approved in June by their brother and sister HTC members employed in non-Division A hotels.

Social Security, Medicare Trustees Issue Their 2015 Report

Earlier this year, all participants in the Hotel Trades Council’s pension fund received in their home mails an annual report of funding status from the pension fund’s trustees. In fact, all U.S. workers who participate in a pension fund can expect to receive this report from its trustees each year because it is required by law.
Awards Announced in Union’s Writing Contest

The Union’s 2015 writing contest drew a strong response from high school students who were in grades ten through 12 at the time of entering, and the winners were recently announced at an awards ceremony.
Union Wins Back Pay at the Waldorf Astoria

After a long and hard-fought battle, the Union has settled certain grievances on behalf of security and locksmith employees at the Waldorf-Astoria. These grievances were scheduled for arbitration in the upcoming weeks but the Union believes the terms of this agreement provide more than what could have been achieved through arbitration.
