Members Testify at North Bergen Airbnb Hearing
On February 2, 16 members of the Hotel Trades Council attended the Board of Commissioners meeting in North Bergen, NJ, to express their support for a resolution the town was considering to regulate Airbnb rentals. The resolution was adopted with a unanimous vote of the Board, which is great news for hotel workers and town residents alike.

On May 5, 2015, workers at the Springhill Suites Newark Liberty International Airport Hotel unanimously ratified their first union contract. This is a major victory for our the workers at this hotel, who will see an immediate improvement in their working conditions. The contract took effect immediately, and will remain in effect until March 31st, 2018.
