Our Union Health Centers are doing coronavirus testing

As of Friday, March 13, all four of our Union Health Centers in New York City began Coronavirus (COVID-19) testing of HTC-represented workers covered by our Industry-Wide Health Benefit Plan and their eligible dependents, at no cost to participants and their dependents. However, the supply of test kits our health centers have is very limited at this stage due to the nation-wide shortage.

NYC Public School Parents: Opt Into Blended Learning By November 15th

The New York City Department of Education has announced that the parents of NYC public school students who are enrolled in remote learning have until November 15, 2020 to decide if they want to enroll their child in “blended learning” (a mix of both in-person and online/remote learning) for the rest of the school year.
After November 15th, students who are enrolled in remote-only learning will not be able to change their minds. Read more...

Health Centers Receive National Recognition for Providing High Quality Diabetes Care

Already recognized by the City of New York’s Department of Health for an outstanding program to help members stop smoking, the Health Centers recently earned another prestigious distinction. The National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) and the American Diabetes Association (ADA) has announced that the Health Centers have received recognition for providing high quality care to patients with diabetes.
