NYC Public School Parents: Opt Into Blended Learning By November 15th

November 4, 2020 7:45 PM

The New York City Department of Education has announced that the parents of NYC public school students who are enrolled in remote learning have until November 15, 2020 to decide if they want to enroll their child in “blended learning” (a mix of both in-person and online/remote learning) for the rest of the school year.

Parents who wish to enroll their child in blended learning must submit this form to the Department of Education by November 15th. After November 15th, students who are enrolled in remote-only learning will not be able to change their minds.

If your child is currently enrolled in blended learning and you wish to opt into a remote-only schedule, you can do so at any time by submitting this form to the Department of Education. There is no deadline to opt into remote learning only.

The Department of Education will coordinate your child’s schedule with their school. Your child’s school should keep you informed about his/her schedule and answer any questions. You can find the contact information of your child’s school here.
