Kids Days to Be Held August 12-14
It’s one of the most eagerly awaited activities on the Union’s annual calendar of events and it’s less than two weeks away. We’re talking about Kids Days, of course. This educational and fun-filled event will take place at the Health Centers and the Midtown Dental Center on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, August 12, 13 and 14.

Republicans base their backward opinions on immigration on tired old arguments. You know what they are: Immigrants cause crime. They don’t pay taxes. They won’t learn English. They’re a drain on social services. They steal Americans’ jobs.
Hundreds of Members Attend Union’s Political Information Sessions
Many members have been volunteering their time helping our Union with various activities to keep us strong. These activities have included canvassing, leafleting during political campaigns, phone banking and other tasks, and all of them are important to our Union as a whole.

A Letter from HTC President Rich Maroko: New Trainings for Union Delegates
It is not enough to have the best hospitality contract in the world – if the terms of that contract aren’t enforced, it’s not worth the paper it’s written on. Over the last 18 months, we have been working on several major initiatives to make our Union even stronger at contract enforcement. The plan includes hiring more business agents, using artificial intelligence to catch more violations, introducing new technology to ensure grievances are effectively and efficiently processed, reinstituting a grievance officer to shepherd cases through the process, speeding up the arbitration procedures, and providing new trainings for the first line of contract enforcement: our union delegates. HTC Members Get Out the Vote in Georgia
Eighteen HTC members and organizers are volunteering in Georgia to get out the vote for Democratic Senate candidates, Jon Ossoff and Raphael Warnock. On January 5th, Georgia will hold a run-off election, which will determine which party holds power in the Senate.
In less than a month, President-Elect Biden will take over the economic recovery of our nation and begin managing the COVID-19 crisis. In order to implement many of his most ambitious plans, Biden will need the Senate’s support. In today’s political climate, this means Biden will need a Democratic majority in the Senate including both Warncok and Ossoff. Read more...

These programs provide an outstanding opportunity for members’ children to attend the college or university of their choice and to realize their career goals.
