Our Union has negotiated an agreement that extends the “Coronavirus Hotel Safety Protocol” and adds important new protections for our members as they return to work, takes steps to prevent outbreaks at a workplace, and makes sure members who contract the Coronavirus are able to take the time they need, with pay, to recover.

Members and Their Families Loved Kids Days 2019

There were plenty of medical and dental visits recorded at the union’s Health and Dental Centers for Kids Days 2019. The strong attendance provided ample evidence once again that members recognize the huge value of this event and all the other annual health awareness events. In addition to all that, Kids Days 2019 proved to be great fun for all who participated.

When I announced to the General Officers and Executive Boards of HTC and Local 6 and the Local 6 Delegate Assembly that I had decided to retire, I recommended that Rich Maroko be appointed to fill my vacant offices. I explained to them the many reasons why I believed Rich’s appointment would be good for our Union.

The purpose of this report is to provide you with the same detailed description of Rich’s biography and career with HTC and Local 6. Most of you who know him, know how hard-fighting and smart he is and how much he cares about our members, but I think it is accurate to assume that you do not have as complete a knowledge of his many accomplishments on behalf of our Union as I have. Remembering Roy Broomfield

The union is deeply saddened to report that Roy Broomfield, a fixture at HTC and Local 6 for decades, has passed away. Broomfield had spent his retirement in Florida, and passed away in hospice there at the age of 87. Read More...
