The new date for the rally at the Boathouse restaurant in Central Park is Thursday, April 21 at 4:30 p.m. A strong mobilization effort continues in the shops and has members ready for whatever activities are needed to show support for the Boathouse workers.

HTC supports 32BJ at rally for fair contract

On April 2nd, nearly 600 HTC members marched up Park Avenue with several other unions to show solidarity with 32BJ and their demand for a fair contract. The property service union’s contract expires on April 20th. With 32BJ's 70,000 NYC members facing increasing costs of living, the new contract would ensure that these union members will continue to provide for their families.

HTC Members Rally for NYC Mayoral Candidate Eric Adams!

On Saturday, April 24th dozens of HTC members and their families came out to support Brooklyn Borough President Eric Adams in Cadman Plaza Park, Brooklyn.

Our Union endorsed Eric Adams for NYC Mayor earlier this year. During the event’s opening remarks, HTC President Rich Maroko explained why, “Eric Adams will lead us out of this crisis and rebuild the city’s economy for working class people. Members Rally and Lobby in Albany for Pre-K

The Union sent busloads of members to Albany on March 4 to rally and lobby for Universal Pre-K, an education component that New Yorkers sorely need. Members met at the Union at 6:00 a.m. and then boarded the buses for the trip up to the state capitol. Once in Albany, they attended a rally where they were joined by members of other unions as well as people from many community organizations, religious congregations and non-profit groups.

IUF and HTC rally to support Turkish aviation workers

On Friday November 8th, 2013 HTC rallied to show solidarity with 305 dismissed aviation workers in Turkey. The rally took place in front of the Empire State building where Turkish Airlines American corporate offices are based. HTC staff and members, along with IUF and Unite Here staff, chanted and raised the IUF flag high, sending a strong message to the workers that union members in New York support their struggle.
