Retired Members Applaud Seniors’ Days 2018
When retired members of our union reach age 65 they can choose to keep using our Health Centers for their medical care by assigning their Medicare Part B to the benefit funds. Members praised the care they receive and had appreciative compliments about the Seniors’ Days health awareness event.
Kids Days to Be Held August 23, 24 and 25
Kids Days 2017 will take place at the Health Centers and the Midtown Dental Center on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, August 23, 24 and 25. As always, no appointments will be necessary for families to take advantage of the great benefits of this health awareness event.

Coming Soon . . . Patient Portals; Live Demos at Eat Well, Be Well, Feel Well!
As the health industry moves toward engaging and encouraging patients to take control of their own health matters, the Employee Benefit Funds will be releasing a “patient portal” during the last week in March. A patient portal is a secure website that patients can use to view and interact with their medical information via the Internet.

Members and Their Families Loved Kids Days 2019
There were plenty of medical and dental visits recorded at the union’s Health and Dental Centers for Kids Days 2019. The strong attendance provided ample evidence once again that members recognize the huge value of this event and all the other annual health awareness events. Seniors’ Days 2019: Celebrating Our Retirees
Seniors’ Days 2019 was greatly appreciated by the hundreds of retired members (and those nearing retirement) who participated in the event.
As reported in the past, Seniors’ Days provides specific attention to retired members, both as a whole and as individuals. But it has also become a great resource in retirement preparation for members over age 55 who are still working. Those that participated in the event in May visited their respective Health Centers without any appointment being necessary, giving each of them the opportunity to speak personally with doctors, dentists and other health care and lifestyle professionals.
Seniors’ Days 2014 Draws a Record Turnout
Congratulations to the Health Centers! They provided a top-notch health and wellness event for older members of our Union and its great value showed, judging by the record number of visits Seniors’ Days 2014 drew. In fact, this year’s attendance topped last year’s by more than 25 percent! It’s further evidence of the success of the event, which has grown in popularity each year.
More than 6,000 Members Participated in Eat Well, Be Well, Feel Well Event
The old record for highest attendance at Eat Well, Be Well, Feel Well (EWFWBW) was shattered the last week in March, when there were 6,317 visits handled by the Health and Dental Centers. The previous high attendance for the event was in 2009, when there were 5,176 visits. The amazing numbers from this year are a tribute to the strong effort by the Benefit Funds Office to increase health awareness.
