As we reported in last week’s edition of Hotel Voice, 25 students who are children of Hotel Trades Council Division A members recently received first-time college scholarships or renewals totaling $54,000.

Yifan Pu is about to attend New York University to study Chemical & Bio-Molecular Engineering, and he will be getting lots of help on this career path from a Hotel Trades Council Division A scholarship. The Division A scholarships were awarded to Yifan Pu and others this week at a ceremony attended by students, their family members and union officers.
Union Wins $120,000 in Back Pay at Millennium Broadway
It was a happy week for 91 room attendants at the Millennium Broadway, as you can see in this photo. They are receiving checks for back pay totaling up to $120,000. The money was obtained by the Union and divided equally among the room attendants after management had been found scheduling shifts improperly.
