Division A Scholarships Photo Album

As we reported in last week’s edition of Hotel Voice, 25 students who are children of Hotel Trades Council Division A members recently received first-time college scholarships or renewals totaling $54,000. There were eight new scholarship recipients, each of whom received $2,500. In addition, 17 previous Division A scholarship winners kept their GPA above 3.0 in the last year and were thus awarded renewal scholarships of $2,000 each. With this year’s grants, a total of $203,000 in Division A scholarships and renewals have been awarded in just the last four years! Many of this year’s Division A scholarship recipients are seen here at the awards ceremony with family members and union officers, including Local 6 Secretary-Treasurer Vanessa Meade, Vice Presidents Eddie Cedeno and Harry Rygor, and Business Agent Dorota Horwitt.
