The $2 trillion dollar stimulus bill will now move to the House, which is expected to take up the bill and pass it on Friday. At that point it will be sent to the President for his signature. Once it is signed it will become law.

I just wanted to take a moment to pay homage to the absolutely marvelous and amazing job our new President, Rich Maroko, has done in almost single-handedly winning an additional three months of health care coverage, and the right to collect severance “bridge payments” for the approximately 28,000 HTC-represented workers covered under the IWA and Division A contracts. Seniors Days Are at the Health Centers May 9-12
The annual Seniors’ Days health awareness event will take place at the Health Centers next week, Tuesday, May 9 through Friday, May 12 — one day in each of the four Health Centers, and no appointments are necessary.

On May 1, 2021, over 60 HTC members celebrated International Workers Day by attending a rally for city council candidate, Amit Singh Bagga. Bagga is running for City Council District 26, which includes the Queens neighborhoods of Sunnyside, Woodside, Long Island City, Astoria, and Dutch Kills.
