Request an Absentee Ballot

Today is the deadline to request your absentee ballot online or by mail, email, or fax for the New York State and Federal Primaries on June 23, 2020.

Apply for an Absentee Ballot:

Poll sites will remain open for the primary, but absentee ballots offer the safest and easiest way to vote during the pandemic. Registered voters in New York City can easily request an absentee ballot at https://nycabsentee.com/absentee. For New York voters outside of the city, read how to apply here.

Cast your Absentee Ballot:

You can mail your absentee ballot or deliver it in-person to your Board of Elections local borough office.

If you mail your absentee ballot, it must be postmarked no later than June 22, 2020 (the day before the Election) and must reach the Board of Elections no more than 7 days after the election to be counted.

If you deliver your ballot in person, it must reach the Board of Elections at your local borough office no later than 9:00 PM on Election Day.
