100% of Workers at Hilton Garden Inn Edison Raritan Center Ratify Their First Union Contract!
On September 8th, workers at the Hilton Garden Inn Edison Raritan Center celebrated the ratification of their first union contract in Edison, New Jersey. Our Union is proud to add the Hilton Garden Inn Edison Raritan Center to the growing list of New Jersey hotels covered by the Greater Regional Industry-Wide Agreement, or GRIWA. Our newest members will now enjoy guaranteed wage increases, more affordable healthcare, and job security among many other benefits and protections.
“Unfortunately, a few months ago, I had to drop my health insurance because it got too expensive. I am so relieved that our contract drastically cuts the monthly premiums. I’m planning to enroll again as soon as we get the opportunity,” shared Martha Poveda, a Room Attendant at the hotel for 4 years.
