NJ Governor Phil Murphy asks HTC Pres. Peter Ward to advise on re-opening tourism in the state

New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy has announced the formation of New Jersey’s Restart and Recovery Advisory Council, which will focus on both the immediate efforts to restart New Jersey’s economy and the long-term recovery. Governor Murphy has asked HTC President Peter Ward to serve on the Council’s subcommittee for Tourism and Entertainment.

New Jersey is among the hardest hit states by the Coronavirus, with nearly 140,000 cases and over 9,000 reported deaths to the virus. Our Union represents over 5,000 workers across 45 hotels in New Jersey and we’re proud to be part of the discussion about how to safely re-open the State.
