Writing Contest Awards

Awards from the 2013 writing contest were distributed last month in a ceremony attended by Peter Ward and the competition’s sponsor, Donald Rubin of the Shirley and Donald Rubin Foundation. All but one of the winners attended, as did proud parents and other family members. Here, Peter Ward congratulates the winners and expresses appreciation for the excellence of the entries they submitted. This year’s contest attracted more than 200 entries. In November there will be an entire edition of Hotel Voice devoted to the winners of this year’s writing competition and samples of the works they wrote.
