There’s lots of back pay for employees at the St. Regis in the photos seen here. In the top photo are some of the room attendants who recently received a total of $40,407. This amount was in addition to the $159,000 in back pay received by St. Regis room attendants that was reported in the August 26 edition of Hotel Voice. In addition to this, five bell persons in the hotel, two of whom are seen here in the above photo with Rank and File Representative Robert Clarke, received a total of $56,288, two overnight cleaners received $2,620, and banquet cooks, also seen here, in the bottom photo, received $6,152 in back pay. The checks were distributed by Clarke, and all of the back pay — which totals almost $265,000 since August — was due to improper layoff and recall.
