Reminder: Union Plus Scholarship Deadline Is January 31

This is a final reminder that the deadline for applying for Union Plus scholarships is Friday, January 31. That still leaves time for eligible applicants because the entire Union Plus application process takes place online.

The Union Plus Scholarship Program is open to all members of the Hotel Trades Council and Local 6, as well as their spouses and their children. Applicants for these scholarships do NOT have to be Union Plus credit card holders or participants in any other Union Plus program. In addition, the Union Plus scholarship program should not be confused with the Vito J. Pitta scholarships or the Division A scholarships. An eligibility information form for the Vito J. Pitta scholarship program is published in this edition of Hotel Voice, and eligibility information forms for the Division A scholarships will be published at a later date.

We urge interested members or spouses and children of members who have not yet applied for this year’s Union Plus Credit Card Scholarship awards to go online immediately and do so. Remember, applications for the Union Plus scholarship can only be obtained, filled out and submitted online. To do so, go to UnionPlus.org and look for the Legal and Education section on the menu at the top of the page. Scroll down to scholarships and follow the prompts to the Union Plus scholarship application. You may also go to UnionPlus.org and type “Union Plus Scholarship” in the search box.

But hurry! All applications for the 2014 Union Plus scholarships must be submitted by no later than this Friday, January 31.
