Peter Ward named one of NYC’s most effective labor leaders

City Hall News has named HTC President Peter Ward one of New York City's 12 most effective labor leaders. The leaders selected "deliver the most for their members in city government and politics" and were identified by city political consultants and journalists.

The City Hall News article focused on the outstanding success of our union's political program. Our recent political involvement was launched by Peter Ward in response to a wave of new hotel development that threatens our union's strength in future negotiations. Although the threat remains, the article notes that our political efforts have helped facilitate the unionization of many new hotels.
