Not Registered to Vote? Here’s How

If you are not registered to vote you can do so by downloading a form from a website all New York voters can use. At http://www.elections.ny.gov/ you can download a New York State voter registration form and learn the steps necessary in order to become eligible to vote. You can even use the website to find out if you are already registered to vote and where your exact polling place is.

Do you need to change your name and/or address because of marriage or moving? Visit elections.ny.gov and follow the easy instructions there.
Would you like to vote by absentee ballot instead of in person? Absentee ballot applications are available for download at elections.ny.gov along with instructions on what to do with them.

There are also instructions at elections.ny.gov if you want to change your party affiliation.

Do you need to find out the Assembly or State Senate District in which you reside? This website has the answers, along with the names and contact information of your elected representatives. District maps are available at elections.ny.gov as well as instructions about voting machines and other useful information.
