New Yorker named U.S. Department of Labor Solicitor

New York's Commissioner of Labor, M. Patricia Smith, has been approved for the high-ranking position of Solicitor of the U.S. Department of Labor. As Solicitor, her responsibility is to ensure that the country's federal labor laws are forcefully and fairly applied to protect workers.
