HTC Expands Its Footprint In The Garden State!
On Wednesday, March 23, the Union celebrated the grand opening of its first New Jersey office in Montclair while simultaneously ratifying contracts with workers at 10 Extended Stay hotels throughout New Jersey! HTC President Rich Maroko led the ratifications from the new office via Zoom and explained to the workers all of the greater benefits they will enjoy now that they are covered by a union contract.
Nearly 6,000 HTC members live or work in New Jersey and HTC now represents members at 59 shops since first expanding there in 2010. “A New Jersey office is long overdue as we continue to win more contracts and grow our footprint”, Local 6 General Counsel Alyssa Tramposch celebrated.
