When Carl Paladino won the Republican primary election for governor, he was buoyed by a wave of support from his hometown of Buffalo, New York, and the surrounding areas of western and central New York, where citizens often complain of feeling neglected in Albany. However, as people began to learn more about him, many were turned off by his forwarding of racist and pornographic emails, his violent argument with New York Post reporter Fredric U. Dicker, and his gay-bashing comments, and are giving second thought to voting for him in the general election.
