Bankruptcy judge approves sale of major Tavern asset
The bankruptcy court judge presiding over the Tavern on the Green proceedings has approved the sale of one of the restaurant's major assets. The asset, a warehouse in Long Island City, Queens, has sold for a reported sale price of $3.5 million. Profits from the sale are expected to help the LeRoys, whose operating lease on Tavern expires at the end of this year, pay off creditors.
