A decision has yet to be reached by the necessary New York state political figures on which of the remaining bidders will get the nod to operate Aqueduct Race Track, potentially the most lucrative site for gambling in the state. The governor and the respective leaders of the New York State Assembly and the New York State Senate must agree on the designee. Thus far they have not, despite a series of meetings held in attempt to resolve the stalemate and push the matter forward. The Hotel Trades Council has secured labor peace agreements with all of the remaining bidders.
