New hotels changing look of Midtown neighborhood

Three new hotels will be bringing a different feel to midtown Manhattan, specifically the portion of Broadway from 26th to 31st Streets. The Ace Hotel is already open, and the NoMad and the Flatiron are scheduled to open, respectively, this spring and next year. The steady pace at which new hotels continue to open throughout New York City underscores the ever-increasing importance of the union's organizing efforts and its members' ongoing involvement in political activities.
