New York State launches green lodging initiative

New York State's Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC) has implemented a program to certify lodging establishments as "green." To qualify, hotels and other establishments must employ environmentally friendly and sustainable practices. The Audubon GreenLeaf program will be the certifying body.
