HTC, other unions use their political power to help workers

Throughout the city, unions, including the NY Hotel Trades Council, are using their political power in fights to better the conditions of their members and other working people. With major wins in both City Council and city-wide races this fall, labor is proving to have powerful clout with the voting public and elected officials, and it is using that influence to fight for better wages and working conditions for the people of New York City.
