Hotel development in Bed-Stuy, Brooklyn

The Brownstoner reported spotting a new hotel called the Condor under construction in the Bedford Stuyvesant neighborhood of Brooklyn. In a break from the more traditional full-service hotels in Manhattan, many new hotels are being built in the outer boroughs, and their non-union operation threatens our union's density in the industry, city-wide. Lower union density results in reduced wages and poorer working conditions, in both union and non-union hotels.
