Bidding revs up for right to operate Aqueduct racino

NYHTC - May 27, 2010 Share/Save/Bookmark

Casino and racino development in New York State is a high-profile issue, as their introduction to the state would generate both significant numbers of jobs and substantial revenue for the state.

At present, five groups are weighing submitting bids for the right to operate the lucrative racino long envisioned for the Aqueduct racetrack. To participate in the process, the potential bidders must submit a $1 million dollar entry fee, later to be followed by a minimum $300 million upfront payment.

Bidders must submit their project proposals by June 29, 2010.
