Bankruptcy trustee to distribute Tavern’s assets

In a step intended to expedite the Tavern on the Green bankruptcy proceeding, the bankruptcy court judge announced he will appoint a trustee to distribute the restaurant's limited assets. Ownership of the Tavern on the Green name, the largest remaining asset of value, remains undecided, and lawyers for the city argued against appointing a trustee until after U.S. District Court Judge Miriam Goldman Cedarbaum rules on this issue.
