Bankruptcy judge settles Tavern ownership disputes in favor of LeRoys

The day before the beginning of the auction marking the end of the LeRoys' operation of Tavern on the Green, the federal judge handling the bankruptcy proceeding cleared additional Tavern articles for sale. The judge ruled that the LeRoy family, and not the City of New York, owned all but one of the disputed items. This comes as good news for the restaurant's many creditors, including the approximately 400 NY Hotel Trades Council members who worked there.
