2024 College Scholarship Winners
The Union’s scholarship program is one of the hard-won rights that members fought for during the 1985 city-wide strike. In the decades since, the program has awarded over $10 million to cover the education expenses of more than 1,200 children of HTC and Local 6 members. It is a powerful example of the positive and long-lasting impact that past contract victories have on our members and their families.
On June 25th, we gathered with the families of the 37 scholarship winners from the Class of 2024 at the Intercontinental Times Square, sharing in the pride of these students’ academic accomplishments. These students are determined to create meaningful change by pursuing a diverse set of majors, ranging from visual arts to neuroscience. Please join us in celebrating the 2024 College Scholarship winners and wishing them continued success.
Thank you to the Gabelli Family
We would like to express our deepest gratitude to Mario Gabelli, Elisa Gabelli Wilson, and their family foundation. This year, the Gabelli family made another very generous contribution to our Union’s scholarship fund.
